INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: We are so excited to know that you are interested in the internship program with the Office of the Governor (OOG)! Our program is made up of the most passionate and driven students and recent graduates who are eager to make their mark on state government in Texas. Interns have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and have numerous opportunities to learn more about state government and the legislative process. This program gives students as well as recent graduates the opportunity to gain new skill sets while also building connections, both personally and professionally. *Applicants not located in the Austin area are responsible for obtaining housing and or transportation*
INTERN DUTIES:
- Data entry for Economic Development Finance Program.
- Perform statistical analysis and research on various topics as needed, which may include incentive related to other states and economic factors for the world and nation in comparison to Texas.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Background in Economics, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance.
REQUIREMENTS:
College student or recent graduate.
May work up to 15-20 hours a week.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to start September 3, 2025, fall semester.
Intern supervisors will be providing feedback to interns on a consistent basis to ensure the intern has a successful internship.
First set in reviewing applications deadline will be July 1, 2025.
The internship is a volunteer position and is NOT paid.
Positions are up to 15-20 hours per week (8 a.m. - 12 Noon or 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.)
