Quality Engineer Intern

This internship offers hands-on experience in the furniture industry, supporting quality assurance, packaging design, and sustainability initiatives. You will assist with product evaluations, research eco-friendly packaging for international shipping, and create 3D graphic drawings, renderings, and models to help visualize and communicate key data across teams.
This position is expected to start August 2025 and continue through the entire Fall 2025 term (through December 2025). Our internships are a minimum of 10 weeks, part-time (20 to 25 hours) and on-site.
In This Role
- Support the creation of 3D graphic drawings, models, and renderings using 3D scanning technology to visualize data
- Conduct tests and inspections of products, shipping packages, and processes to evaluate quality
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and suggest how to implement corrective actions
- Research and recommend sustainable materials for product and packaging use
- Translate data into interactive 3D formats to improve cross-functional understanding and collaboration across teams
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement

The Ideal Person
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Exposure to 3D printing technologies and applications
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, CAD, or Rhino
- Basic knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma principles and process improvement methodologies
