School of Criminal Justice & Criminology - Front Office Worker
The School of Criminal Justice & Criminology is looking to hire motivated and reliable front-office student workers.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Answering and screening phone calls
- Making copies
- Shredding
- Assisting guests of the department
- Assisting with events
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisors
Well-qualified candidates have experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Teams), are comfortable with PC computers, and know basic office, email, and telephone etiquette. Punctuality and the ability to take initiative are crucial to this role.
Candidates with skills in areas such as basic computer troubleshooting, graphic design, copy editing, photography, etc., are highly encouraged to apply; however, experience in any of these fields is not required and otherwise qualified candidates will be considered as well.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, and squatting, kneeling, or walking across campus in hot or cold weather may be required.
Position is planned for Summer 2025 through employee's graduation; future semesters past Summer 2025 will depend on work study position allocation and satisfactory performance.
Performance will be evaluated on a semesterly basis, and will consider employee reliability, punctuality, and initiative. One-on-one meetings with the direct supervisor may occur if they are determined to be necessary.
Pay rate will be determined based on experience, and exceptional performance will be considered for pay raises.
Direct supervisor is Admin Assistant to the Undergraduate Program, Kelly Gourluck.
