Project Assistant
Online and Extended Programs (OXP) seeks Work Study-eligible students with excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills to fill our office's Project Assistant student employee position for summer 2025. NOTE: This Work-Study position is for summer 2025 only and will not continue in fall. This position primarily entails project-based tasks that support our Self-Paced Correspondence, Extension Studies, and Distance Education programs. Tasks may include web page assistance, research, and clerical work. The Project Assistant also works on other office tasks as assigned and will assist with front-desk duties such as answering the phone or greeting walk-in visitors.
Required:
- Work Study-eligible for academic year summer 2025
- Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate with staff and faculty in a professional workplace
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Enrolled student with at least a 3.0 GPA (upload proof of summer 2025 Work Study eligibility along with the online application)
Preferred:
- Experience working in an office setting
On-Campus Job Location: San Marcos campus, ASBN 302
Supervisor: Crystal Alaniz, Program Support Assistant, Online & Extended Programs.
Work schedule: If hired, applicants should expect a 15-20 hour-per-week time commitment. Work hours must fall between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
