Job Summary:
As a Data Analytics Intern at Church’s Texas Chicken, you will be provided a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in marketing analytics, pricing & revenue growth management in the restaurant industry. This is a hybrid role, requiring a blend of remote work and in-office collaboration at the Restaurant Support Center (RSC) in Atlanta, GA.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Marketing Analytics & Research
- Prepare sales reporting & analyses for marketing analytics, identify trends, correlations & performance variances.
- Research trends & benchmarks for key competitors & the broader industry.
- Build presentations for consideration in various business contexts.

Data Infrastructure & Inventory
- Help Marketing to maintain tracking on various initiatives, with a focus on the national calendar.
- Work with Technology & their various business stakeholders to improve real-time data visibility & quality.

Collaboration & Training
- Collaborate with other departments to assemble relevant data for cross-functional business analysis.
- Train with the teams that manage the operational & analytical systems that support our restaurants & corporate functions on a day-to-day basis.
- Participate in meetings & take notes to follow-up on action items.
Internship Requirements (Education, Experience, etc.):
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, or related discipline).
- Strong academic standing and coursework in data analysis, statistics, economics, business analytics or intelligence.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 and 2 years completed.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience building presentation content in PowerPoint.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Proficiency manipulating ad hoc data in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF and other common formulas).
- Interest in business applications and information systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and take feedback constructively.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data & statistical concepts (e.g. schemas, models, regression)
- Familiarity with SQL, Python or R would be a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML tools is a plus.
