Accounting Assistant Work Study
The Accounting Assistant performs accounting functions directly related to the integrity of the university’s financial accounting and reporting under the direction and supervision of a senior accountant. This position will be assigned a variety of journal entries and reconciliations, as well as on demand analysis, and other related duties. Functions will center around the use of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, and SAP, the university’s administrative accounting system.
Required Qualifications: Accounting major; Sophomore level or above who has completed ACCT 2361 and ACCT 2362 or is enrolled in ACCT 2362; minimum GPA of 3.00; knowledge of basic accounting principles; intermediate knowledge of Excel; strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required Hours: 15-24 hours per week scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.

Employee Evaluation Process: Student employees are evaluated by their supervisor at the end of each long semester.
Payrate Determination: Starting pay rate for student employees, based on experience.
