Toyota Logistics Services (TLS) is looking for highly motivated and qualified Vehicle Logistics Summer Interns. The 12-week on-the-job internship at TLS Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) allows Vehicle Logistics Interns to immerse themselves in a VDC environment, resulting in an enhanced understanding of Toyota Motor North America, Toyota Production System (TPS), and Production Associate Supervision. Internship could also be held at TMNA HQ in Plano, TX.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The internship will be completed at a VDC location or TMNA HQ and is designed to provide hands-on learning, leadership opportunities, and business insight. The focus of the internship will be the development of supervisory and associate relations skills through the direct supervision of hourly production associates (except at TMNA HQ). You will also receive learning on vehicle logistics, parts, quality, and kaizen/Toyota Production System. This internship is a feeder program for the TLS 18-month Vehicle Logistics Trainee (VLT) Program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or related field with a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Possess a high degree of written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Candidates must be willing to relocate.
- Have lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future
- Have a valid driver’s license
