We are looking for tutors for the following courses:

ACC, BIO1320, BIO2430, CHEM, ECO, ENG2310, HIST, Elementary Algebra - Calculus, MATH1329, SPAN1410 and SPAN2310

Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Tutoring students on academic subjects in the Athletic Academic Center (AAC) by furnishing information, helping solve problems, offering support, suggesting study tips and strategies, and making referrals when appropriate;
  2. Being familiar with and supporting the AAC and its policies and NCAA rules and regulations;
  3. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students and staff;
  4. Creating and maintaining a professional attitude;
  5. Developing an awareness of diverse cultures and their unique needs;
  6. Maintaining a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.

Must:

  • Be available at least 2 evenings Sunday-Thursday
  • Have a minimum of a B in the courses you wish to tutor.
  • Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Obtain excellent faculty references.
  • Be classified as sophomore or higher.
  • Be ethical, responsible, and enjoy helping others.

PAY IS $11-$16.00/HR. Depending on experience

Supervisor: Tracy Hoover 

Student employees will be evaluated at the end of each long semester and after two long semesters those that are returning with a positive evaluation will receive a .25/hr. increase in pay.
