About our Teams:
Transportation - As a Transportation Analyst intern, you’ll get immersed in a segment of our E2E Delivery network, from ocean and imports to over-the-road trucking to our private intermodal group to last mile delivery – we have it all! You will own a project aimed at improving our service to the customer, reducing supply chain costs, improving vital processes, and/or solving tough problems. Bring your immense knowledge, experience, creativity, and energy, and help us better serve millions of Americans every day!
About Our Program:
Each summer, we select the best and brightest to look under the hood of the world’s largest retailer at our Walmart across multiple locations. During the 11-week program, our interns work directly with teams who are changing the way the world shops. This is the beginning of what could be an exciting career with Walmart!

Roles and Responsibilities:
Your summer internship and accompanying project will allow you to put into practice the skills and education you’ve gained through school, work, and personal experience. While your project will be a primary focus of your summer internship, you’ll be encouraged also to develop relationships with the experts around you and learn from them! You will be placed on a team and treated like any other associate, participating in activities, meetings, and projects. In many ways, your job this summer will be to ask loads of questions, be curious, and soak up as much as you can about Walmart E2E Delivery, our overall supply chain, and how we deliver world-class service to millions of customers each day!
Examples of Analyst II Intern Projects include:
Generate tool to streamline several manual processes and provide users with most fuel-efficient, time-saving routing solutions
Analyze in-depth our historical driver safety data in order to address largest safety opportunities, maximize driver efficiency, and keep safety our top priority
Develop strategy and processes for new seasonal procurement RFP to ensure we have the appropriate amount of contracted carrier coverage for a successful season
Work to identify most common root causes for multi-stop late loads and implement countermeasures to address
Fight truckload cube inflation opportunities with suppliers, merchants, and other stakeholders in order to maximize truckload utilization and save money
Benchmark our customer service responsiveness and quality against industry leaders; recommend solutions to address gaps in current processes

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program currently
Expected graduation date between December 2025-August 2026
