Alcohol and Drug Compliance is looking for a mature and responsible student to work in a fast-paced office under the supervision of Cheryl Harper.

What do we do? We provide support and educational courses to help students with alcohol and drug compliance.

What will you do every day?

  • Assist students with enrollment in community service, educational classes, and appointments.
  • Must be organized, flexible, and detail oriented.
  • Compose emails, send reminders of all upcoming events, and appointments.
  • Provide administrative assistance such as processing, entering, and completing paperwork to help maintain database.
  • Greet all customers (both phone and in-person) in a friendly, patient manner, and take accurate messages to route to the appropriate person.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Create educational and event flyers.
  • Assist with creating reports and graph via Excel.

Other Considerations: 

  • Must sign a confidentiality agreement to work in this office.
  • Must be patient and willing to assist stressed students.
  • Must be dependable with a consistent schedule.
  • This position is conveniently located in the LBJ Student Center.
  • Must pay attention to detail and be willing to ask questions.
  • Student employee evaluation will take place the end of each semester based on Career Readiness Competencies.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel; willing to learn Publisher.
