Job Description:

Sunrise Mountain Partners is seeking motivated rising juniors and seniors for its highly-competitive summer internship program, as well as academic year Co-ops to join its rapidly growing clean energy development business. Our Clean Energy Internships aim to promote diversity in the clean energy industry and will provide co-ops with valuable experience in a fast-paced business environment.

The internship will focus on community solar project development. Fellows/Co-ops will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the solar development business, from site identification through interconnection and operational management. 

We are currently seeking 2025 summer interns and academic year co-ops. We recruit for a wide range of skills, which include the following: real estate, research, marketing, sales, analysis, and GIS. This is a paid position with a combination of in-person and remote work. This role will be based in our Stamford, CT office, with 1-2 days per week from our NYC offices.

Please note that we are field of study agnostic. We believe that people who will be successful in this role can come from any background. 

Requirements:

• Internal motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• You must be a “go-getter,” comfortable calling on people and organizations you’ve never met, and creative at finding information
• Experience in business, sales, GIS, research, or energy is a plus
• Any experience selling a product, making outbound customer calls, or starting a business is desirable. Highlight this on your resume.
• Driver’s license.
