MAC Contracts and Compliance Intern

WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

 

The Intern will be responsible for supporting the Marketing and Communications Contracts and Compliance team by implementing an organizing and tracking incoming contracts system, including organizing and maintaining contract databases and document repositories. Additional tasks may include setting up a system for tracking contract expiration dates, renewal terms, and key milestones. The intern can further support our group by organizing our internal connect page and assisting us with auditing our records. The intern will provide support for creating internal educational materials and resources on relevant legal and compliance topics.


The Intern will report to the Contracts and Finance Specialist.

  • Assist with organizing and tracking incoming contracts.
  • Create, organize, and maintain contract databases and document repositories.
  • Implement a system for tracking contract expiration dates, renewal terms, and key milestones.
  • Support the creation of educational materials and resources on relevant legal compliance topics.

We are looking for a MAC Contracts and Compliance Intern to fill a paid 10-week Summer internship. The intern can be an undergraduate student, law school student, graduate student, or recent graduate (between 2020 and 2024). This position is home-based in the United States and will provide a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academics and real-world work. We offer an orientation, professional networking opportunities, and real-world work experience.
 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Access to a reliable internet connection.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate (or professional/graduate) program studying law, business, communications, marketing, or a related field, or a recent graduate with a degree in one of these or a related field.
  • Experience in research, writing, and editing. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Coursework and/or exposure related to the law, compliance, marketing, communications or business analytics. 
  • Self-starter, taking initiative, and demonstrating confidence to ask questions and seek input when needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated, but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite products, including Excel and Outlook, with the ability to construct and produce reports.
  • Knowledge of/interest in law, compliance, business analytics, marketing, or communications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Great organizational skills.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION

 

This is a full-time, remote, temporary internship position with a 10-week term of June 3 to August 9, 2024.

ELIGIBILITY

The Nature Conservancy's Internship Program candidate should demonstrate at least one of the following:

INTERN SELECTION PROCESS

  • Applications will be screened for eligibility, qualifications and experience level related to the Internship.
  • Applicants will be notified of the next steps in the process within 3 weeks after application.
  • 2-3 video interviews will be conducted for selected applicants.
  • Additional information may be required before making a final decision.

SALARY INFORMATION

 

The pay for a candidate selected for this position is $17/hr. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
