Mental Heatlh Associate

Provides constant supervision and oversight of assigned patient population. Maintains safe and therapeutic environment for patient population. Assures daily program schedule is consistently implemented, including scheduled therapeutic recreational activities.  Consistently and accurately completes clinically and administratively-related documentation as directed.  Implements patient treatment plan strategies through consistent use of the Behavior Enhancement Program.  Continually communicates regarding patient care and safety issues.  Assures needs of patients are met.  Safely and consistently manages physically aggressive and self-abusive behavior utilizing the Handle With Care (HWC) program.  Serves as role model for patients in appearance, interaction, problem-solving methodology, personal accountability and demonstrating respect for others, self and property.  Consistently promotes and adheres to Service Excellence standards and workplace safety standards.  Consistently follows facility protocol for maintaining excellent attendance.

Minimum Requirements: 

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED – will be required to provide proof if job offer is made
• Pass Criminal History Background Check
• Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen
• Effectively communicate through verbal and written forms
