Job description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide therapy based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children and adults with Autism and related developmental disabilities in a clinic-based and/or home-based setting. RBTs will implement top quality behavior modification programs through one-on-one therapy, collect data electronically or on paper, assist with parent training, and coordinate with other team members to offer a valuable service to our clients and families. RBTs are under the direct supervision of our Outpatient Behavioral Services (BCBA) Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

- Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, Vineland) and functional assessment measures

- Implement individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data

- Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives

- Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation

- Is responsible for participating in individual weekly supervision meetings with the Outpatient Behavioral Services Supervisor.

- Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Outpatient Behavioral Services Supervisor.

- Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to state and federal regulation

- Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner

Additional Functions

- Actively communicates MABC outreach efforts to community

- Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner

- Participates in professional meetings or conferences deemed to be beneficial to their development and role at MABC

- Adheres to the mission, vision and values of MABC

- Develops and implements any data collection necessary to conduct approved research
