Environmental Specialist/Scientist/Engineer

Small business is seeking part-time entry-level and experienced scientific or technical professionals that have the ability to apply their knowledge and skills to environmental related projects. The person applying for this position will need the following capabilities:

·      Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills.

·      Excellent communication abilities (particularly technical writing).

·      Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities include providing technical support to facilities for environmental compliance, such as providing guidance on how to maintain and document compliance with air quality related regulations, interpreting air quality regulations, air permit application reviews prior to submittal to regulatory agencies, and calculating air emissions. Our focus is hiring a candidate with demonstrated skills. A degree in an engineering, technical, or scientific field is preferred, but not required. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Former military and/or environmental compliance experience is a plus.
