Administrative Technician Respite

Position: Administrative Technician Respite [118]

Program: Amarillo, Texas - Respite

Salary: $19.62/hr.

Shift available: Full-time (with flexibility)

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • The Administrative Technician II serves as the supervisor for the respite group home along with program on call duties
  • Responsibilities include supervising and training program staff, hiring, developing Implementation Plans. and monitoring to ensure plans are being followed
  • Also will be responsible for implementing and monitoring crisis intervention plans for individuals who display aggressive and/or disruptive behaviors
  • Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • Ability to speak Spanish
  • At least two years' experience working with individuals with developmental disorders and behavioral problems
  • At least two years of supervisory experiences
