Student Scoopers Work Study
UPD Mounted Patrol is looking for energetic students to join the Student Scoopers!
Job Description includes but not limited to:
- Picking up horse waste.
- Barn maintenance - Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized barn/arena work area at all times.
- Clean out stalls, replace bedding, clean and maintain stable facility.
- Basic horse maintenance.
- Assist with administering care: feed, water, groom, etc.
- Maintain vehicles, equipment, tools, facilities, etc.
- Operate and assist with set up of portable stalls/display.
- Assists with set-up and clean-up of area, equipment, and tack.
- Other duties as needed.
Job Requirements
- Must possess valid Drivers License
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to work independently and possess good time management skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground to waist height frequently during a normal workday (hay, grain, feed, tack boxes, saddles, feed buckets, etc.).
- Must be able to walk and stand in/on uneven surfaces.
- Must have good communication and people skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Preferred skills
- Have a background in agriculture.
- Have a background working with equine.
