Math Office Student Worker - Summer 2023 (Work Study)
The position is open until filled. Position will continue into future semesters pending satisfactory performance.
Overview:
The Department of Mathematics is searching for Bobcats to join our team as Student Office Assistants. We are looking for reliable team players with a passion for strong customer service. To apply, please submit the following through Handshake:

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
● Greeting and directing visitors
● Answering/transferring phone calls
● Making copies
● Maintaining office supply inventory
● Sorting mail
● Cleaning/tidying the office space and faculty lounge
● Checking out loaner calculators
● Other duties as assigned by supervisors
Required Qualifications:
● Currently enrolled undergraduate student (incoming Freshmen are welcome to apply)
● Available during the Spring 2023 term for shifts during normal business hours, M-F 8 AM to 5 PM
● Punctual
● Reliable
● Attention to detail and organized
● Self-starter
● Some familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Outlook, Excel)
● Comfortable working and interacting with diverse faculty, staff, and students
● Team player
Preferred Qualifications:
● Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior
● Intermediate or advanced skill with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Outlook, Excel)
● Knowledge of proper etiquette while greeting visitors to the office or speaking on the phone
● Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers, printers, shredders
● Familiarity with Texas State’s San Marcos campus and building locations
● Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds without assistance
