Two Federal Work Study Positions Available

The Center for International Studies is looking for two Federal Work Study students to work in their office Monday-Friday during the work hours of 8AM-5PM. The Center is looking for outgoing, consistent, and motivated students to work the front office, answer phones, greet guests, run errands, organization of library/offices, keeping up with supplies, scanning and copying for director, coordinator and admin and any other assignments given by faculty and support staff. The Center will prioritize applicants that have experience with social media, graphic design and podcasting. Additionally, we look for punctuality, attitude, flexibility and fast learners. This office has periods of high volume, but for the most part is laid back and quiet.

Responsibilities and Duties: 
 
·        Design advertisements, artwork, brochures, logos, signs, stickers, and other branding and communication materials in coordination with Program Coordinator and Center Director.
 
·        Take direction from written/spoken ideas and convert them into images, layouts, and other designs. 
 
Qualifications:
 
·        Experience as a Graphic Designer or similar experience with a strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
·        Experience working with multicultural/diverse student populations.
·        Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills
·        Familiarity with design software and technologies, including but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop.
·        Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
·        Possess strong computer competence, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and social media
 
Experience with design software and video/audio productions are not required; however, they are preferred.
