Student Assistant, Student Engagement | Spring 2022 Work Study
Job Description: The Student Assistant, Student Engagement with event planning, marketing, and public relations to engage students in the Alumni Relation’s student programs. This position will report to the Associate Director, Alumni Engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with coordinating and implementing student engagement programs including Senior Trade Up Days, Step Up for State, Young Alumni Rising Stars Panel, Student Alumni Council, and Ring Celebration
- Assists with communications to students about events and programs
- Assists with content creation for the website and social media sites
- Assists in developing marketing and promotional programs and materials
- Assists with staffing at alumni events
- Other duties as assigned
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week – Some evening and weekend work is required
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled at Texas State with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5
- Ability to work in a fast paced, pressured environment and meet deadlines
- Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 semester credit hours
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in customer service, office management, event planning, public relations, or marketing
Schedule: We are hiring for the Spring 2022 semester and are looking for a candidate who can begin working as soon as possible. The position will be reviewed and renewed on a semester-to-semester basis. This position may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends, but has flexible hours to work with your school schedule.
