Spring Lake Aquatic Maintenance Worker | Spring 2022 Work Study

Job Description
Aquatic maintenance workers are responsible for maintaining the historic Glass Bottomed Boats, boat lanes, and the unique environment of Spring Lake. This position requires flexibility in working hours, and the applicant should have the ability to work in a dynamic work environment including working outdoors during inclement, hot, or cold weather.

Duties
General grounds maintenance, maintenance of Glass Bottomed Boats, cleaning of underwater springs via scuba, general building maintenance, dive compressor operation, and dive barge operation. In addition maintaining, servicing and adjusting equipment, maintaining work logs, mileage and equipment manuals and chemical records and performing other duties as assigned.  

Required Qualifications
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, communication, and self-motivation. Basic computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
Open Water Certification from a major diving institution (PADI, NAUI, SSI, etc.), Boater Education Certification, carpentry, plumbing, operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, experience with customer service, ability and willingness to interact with the public.


Schedule
Flexible hours throughout the week, Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm (15-25 hours per week).  

Please note our location. This position requires self-provided transportation to and from work. Applicants with a vehicle must have a valid Texas State parking permit. Applicants without a vehicle must have reliable means of transportation.
