RoundUp App is the nation’s largest roundup donations app helping nonprofits generate donations by rounding up daily debit and credit card transactions to the nearest dollar. For example, your $3.50 coffee becomes $4.00 and the $0.50 is donated to a charity of your choice.

About the Role
We are currently hiring a part-time, contracted, UX Designer who wants to create beautifully designed deliverables in a fast-paced, user-centric environment. You will then be responsible for providing QA against your designs. As part of our product team, you will have a fantastic opportunity to join a company in hyper-growth mode. Our ideal candidate is strong in visual design with experience in everything from user interface design to marketing material development. A successful candidate should have a passion for collaborative work, a strong grasp on design/UX principles, and a sense of ownership over the product’s design.

During COVID, we have a flexible work from home policy, but do want a candidate in Austin, Texas for our eventual return to the office; we will consider a fully remote employee for the right person. There is the opportunity to transition to a full-time role for the right person.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with the product team to design and skin wireframes with high-fidelity designs. You will get to add your personal design style to our app from day-1.
- Design UX for meaningful and highly functional experiences by conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
- Be comfortable contributing to the full project lifecycle by creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, journey maps, illustrations, and other design-related deliverables
- Provide innovative design solutions as well as clear designs and documentation for the engineering team
- Provide QA on our apps before deployment to beta groups. An ideal candidate will be familiar with SCRUM and Jira.
What you should already have
- 3+ years experience coming up with design solutions that are based on real user needs and pain points
- Familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch (or other wireframing tools), and other prototyping tools
- Passion for visual design and/or motion design (bonus points for experience with After Effects or other motion design tools)
- A strong, sharable portfolio, including projects released to the public (Dribbble, Behance, etc. are acceptable, as long as they show examples of UI work)
- Demonstrable experience in creating wireframes, mockups, prototyping, and illustrations
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively as a strategic thinker who is comfortable ideating high-level concepts as well as coming up with detailed design executions
Qualifications, Skills, and Education:
- Comfortable with marketing technology including competence with Mailchimp, Heap (or similar), Segment, Metabase, Facebook Ads, and Google Ads. Expect competence with the Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Gmail).
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a remote setting.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to receive feedback on your work and a constant willingness to improve.
- Maintaining a good attitude, friendliness with clients, and positivity with team members.
- Ability to stay organized, juggle multiple priorities, and complete tasks quickly and accurately.
