Marketing Assistant/Springl 2022 Work Study

The Office of Annual Giving is hiring a Marketing Assistant student staffer focused on digital marketing to support our fundraising team. You’ll gain hands-on experience that will prepare you for a future in the marketing industry with a collaborative team.
 
Your days will be filled with content writing, image/video creation, managing digital platforms, performance analysis and more to inspire donations supporting Texas State.
 
This person will mainly work in an office during normal business hours (8am-5pm).
 
What will you do every day?
·Assist in the development and scheduling of content for TXST donors across multiple channels: email, social media, and print
·Brainstorm new ideas to engage supporters across marketing channels
·Perform personal outreach (texting, handwritten notes, phone calls) to thank donors for a donation or solicit alumni for a donation
·Manage TXST’s crowdfunding platform, CatFunder
·Develop analyses and performance reports for fundraising efforts
·Learn the in’s and out’s of paid social media and digital fundraising
 
A Marketing Assistant MUST:
·Have a strong interest in digital marketing and social media
·Be an excellent communicator (written, verbal, a true team player)
·Have strong editing and proofreading skills
·Be deadline driven
·Stay current on trends

During the course of working with digital marketing tools, the person in this position may be exposed to a variety of content outside of Texas State University’s control, including but not limited to content that could be interpreted as offensive, racist, sexist, homophobic, violent or extreme. The Office of Annual Giving will work with staff to minimize the exposure to and impact of such content.
 
Hours: flexible up to 20 hours per week
