Job Duties:
Working with Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management Department Specialists in the following areas: Fire Safety, Campus Construction, Food Safety, Hazardous Waste Management, Biological Safety, Laboratory Safety, Recycling Programs, Storm Water, Waste Water
Student Worker will be assigned to a variety of tasks both in the office and in locations throughout campus. Tasks will consist of but not limited to inspections, data entry, supervised pick-ups (e.g. battery, bulb, supervised waste). Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License/Good Driving Record (will be required to drive University Vehicles/Golf Carts)
  • Physical abilities; standing squatting, bending over, lifting, climbing
  • Professional, neat appearance and good hygiene, pants, close toe shoes, NO flip flops, short shorts, tank tops
  • Good Computer Skills
  • The ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work between 15 - 20 hours per week. (Office Hours: Mon. - Fri. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
  • Must be able to work all Commencement Ceremonies (Fall, Spring, Summer) Only exemption is if student worker is graduating.
