Part-Time Customer Success & Operations Associate

Fleetr | North Austin, TX (hybrid, mostly remote) | 10–20 hours/week | $20–$25/hour

December 2026 through March 2027, with a strong chance of extending beyond that

About Fleetr

Fleetr is a fast-growing tech company with a simple mission: better drivers, safer roads, and smarter decisions. We build connected technology for businesses that depend on their vehicles. Our plug-and-play tracking devices, smart dashcams, and real-time data on driving behavior, vehicle health, and risk help them cut costs, coach drivers, and run their operations. Customers range from small businesses to insurance agents, families, and integration partners, and we're adding new ones fast. We're a small team in growth mode, so you'll learn quickly, take on real responsibility, and see your work make a difference right away.

About the Role

Our Customer Success Manager is going on parental leave, and we're looking for a sharp, energetic person to step in and take care of our customers. You won't be doing the same task all day. In a single shift you could solve a customer's problem, ship out new hardware, call a promising lead, and dig into account data. It's a great fit for a college student who wants hands-on experience in tech, customer success, operations, and sales, with hours that work around classes.

The role runs from December through the end of March. We expect to extend it beyond that, and we'd love for it to turn into something longer-term.

Where You'll Work

Most of your hours can be from home. Some hours will be at our North Austin office near Research Blvd and Lake Creek Pkwy, mainly for shipping, fulfillment, and team time.

What You'll Do

• Be the first point of contact for our customers, answering support emails and live chats quickly and tracking each issue through to resolution

• Work with our IT team to troubleshoot and fix customer problems, from device connectivity to account and data issues

• Dig into customer accounts across our billing, device management, and customer platforms to find mismatches and clean them up

• Process device orders: log tracking numbers and device IDs, send shipping updates, activate devices, and get new customers up and running with welcome emails and login credentials

• Help with shipping and fulfillment at our office by preparing and sending out tracking devices and dashcams

• Keep our order, upsell, cancellation, and dashcam records accurate, and post updates to our internal ops channel

• Support monthly reporting on growth metrics, including new orders, upsells, downgrades, and cancellations

• Follow up on failed payments by email and phone, kindly and professionally

• Handle customer requests for invoices, NDAs, and API access

• Ask happy customers for reviews to help us grow

• Make outbound calls to leads and prospects, including partner referrals, to introduce Fleetr and book follow-ups

What We're Looking For

• A current college student or recent grad. Business, communications, marketing, IT, and computer science majors are a plus, but not required

• Clear, friendly writing and phone skills, and you're comfortable picking up the phone

• Very organized and detail-oriented. You like it when the numbers match

• A curious problem-solver who enjoys learning new technology and picks up new tools quickly

• Experience with common office software such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

• A self-starter who can work independently from home and knows when to ask for help

• Reliable availability of 10–20 hours a week, including some weekday business hours to cover support

• Able to get to our North Austin office for scheduled in-person hours

Nice to Have

• Experience in customer service, retail, tech support, or a call center

• Familiarity with tools like Zoho, Chargebee, Slack, or Looker Studio

• Interest in SaaS, IoT, sales, insurance, logistics, or transportation

What You'll Get

• $20–$25/hour, depending on experience

• Flexible, mostly remote hours that fit around your class schedule

• Real experience across customer success, tech support, operations, billing, and sales at a growing tech company

• Direct exposure to the leadership and IT teams, plus the chance to make an impact from day one

• A strong résumé line, references, and a likely extension past March
