Church Nursery Worker

Mt. Olive Lutheran Church is looking for a caring, dependable nursery worker to look after infants and toddlers (birth through age 4) during Sunday morning worship. You will give children a safe, loving environment and give parents peace of mind while they worship.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, age-appropriate way
  • Welcome families, check children in and out, and communicate with parents
  • Follow diapering, hygiene, and safety procedures
  • Keep the nursery clean, organized, and stocked
  • Ask for help from church staff or volunteers when needed

Requirements

  • Experience working with infants and toddlers (through age 3)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Strong relational skills with young children and their parents
  • Consistent attendance and reliability
  • Confidence to ask for help when needed, and flexibility in a changing environment
  • Agreement with and commitment to Christian values and beliefs

Schedule

Sundays, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, every Sunday with some flexibility for a rotating schedule.
