YouTube Content Coordinator

YouTube Content Coordinator

Austin, TX · Part-Time · $30/hour · 10–15 hours/week

About the Role

Alpha School’s Video Team is looking for a highly organized, AI-fluent YouTube Content Coordinator to own the weekly publishing operation for Alpha School’s YouTube channel. You’ll take videos that are ready or approaching ready, turn them into a thoughtful posting plan, and handle packaging, upload, scheduling, and quality control from start to finish.

This is an execution-first coordinator role with room for light strategic thinking. You do not need to be a YouTube guru; you do need strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to follow a clear playbook while staying on brand.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Build a weekly posting plan based on the videos provided by the team, including timing, sequencing, cadence, and content mix.
  • Use AI and Alpha’s playbook to develop on-brand titles, descriptions, and thumbnail text.
  • Coordinate thumbnail variations and confirm final packaging is consistent with brand standards.
  • Select end cards and playlists, create new playlists when needed, and flag updates that may also belong on related web properties.
  • QC SRT/caption files and perform a final pre-publish check across metadata, links, playlists, end cards, thumbnails, and scheduling.
  • Upload, configure, schedule, and publish videos accurately in YouTube Studio.
  • Review basic post-publish performance and bring back useful observations on titles, thumbnails, formats, and content types.
  • Suggest simple improvements to future posting plans while working within the team’s overall content strategy and brand direction.

Candidate Requirements

  • Highly competent with AI tools and comfortable using AI within a repeatable content workflow.
  • Exceptional at following instructions, working from a playbook, and maintaining consistency across recurring processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a natural instinct for quality control.
  • Good creative judgment around titles, thumbnail copy, positioning, and presentation.
  • Clear written communication, strong organization, and the ability to manage a weekly queue without losing track of details.
  • Comfort learning YouTube Studio and channel-management workflows quickly.
