Job Summary

Join our team as a Jeremiah's Italian Ice of New Braunfels Squad Member! In this energetic role, you'll be the face of our brand, delivering delicious treats and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, fun environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable experiences for every guest, ensuring they leave with a smile and a craving for more. Whether you're scooping ice, handling transactions, or maintaining a clean and inviting space, your positive attitude will drive our success and make each shift exciting and rewarding.

All applicants must have your own transportation and be able to open and close multiple days a week. Shift Leads must have open availability Friday evening through Sunday, plus at least 2 weekday closes.

If under the age of 18: schedule flexibility and reliable transportation to/from shifts are required.

Must be able to open the store or close on various nights, including weekends!

Hourly Rate

SERVER: $7.25/hr base rate. With tips, many team members earn more.
SHIFT LEAD: $8.00/hr base rate. With tips, many team members earn more.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of Italian ice flavors with precision and enthusiasm, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
• Operate our POS system to process orders accurately and efficiently
• Engage with customers to take orders, upsell products, and promote specials to enhance sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling, bussing, and cleaning equipment in accordance with food safety standards
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the team in delivering quick service during busy hours
• Support overall store operations by managing inventory, restocking supplies, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or quick service/fast food is preferred but not required — we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling and managing transactions accurately
• Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, or retail environments is advantageous
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
