Fall 2026 | Work Study Student Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented work-study student to assist with a variety of general administrative and project-based tasks in an executive office. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while supporting the office with routine administrative tasks and creative projects.
Please note that student employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance and wear office-appropriate attire. They should be prepared to dress in business casual attire, as appropriate for the day’s responsibilities, meetings, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hardware and software support and support responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
- Proofread and fact-check content for the website and other ongoing projects to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with special projects, such as social media management, multimedia content creation, and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with team members on tasks related to communication, marketing, and office initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, and other office duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned based on departmental needs and student interests.
Qualifications:
- Current student eligible for work-study.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and fact-checking.
- Interest in social media, marketing, and multimedia content creation is a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

Employee Evaluation Process:
- Student employees are evaluated by their supervisor at the end of each long semester.
Payrate Determination:
- Hourly rate will be determined based on the applicant's skills and experience but will not be lower than the minimum wage rate of $7.25. Hourly student employees will be eligible for a raise after two long semesters (fall and spring) of employment with a positive evaluation from their supervisor.
