Join our team as a San Marcos High School Mentor

Currently hiring Work- Study positions beginning in August 2026

Mentors in the Work Study Program assist students with

  • Test Registrations
  • College and Financial Aid Applications
  • Scholarship applications
  • Resume/Essay Creation & Critique
  • Researching a career/major

Students may work up to 20 hours a week

Pay is 13.00 an hour

Must be a resident of Texas to qualify for this position

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Dr. Rosina Valle

*EMPLOYEE EVALUATION PROCESS: Student employees are evaluated by their supervisor at the end of each long semester.

*PAYRATE DETERMINATION: All student employees begin at the starting pay rate and may increase by 1.00 after two long semesters (fall and spring) of employment with a positive evaluation from their supervisor using the Student Employee Career Readiness Evaluation form.
