Position Summary
The Pool Attendant is responsible for creating a clean, safe, and welcoming pool experience for all guests at Lucky Arrow Resort. This position serves as the primary ambassador at the pool, ensuring only authorized guests access the facilities, maintaining cleanliness throughout the pool area, monitoring guest safety, and delivering exceptional hospitality.
The ideal candidate is friendly, proactive, attentive to detail, and enjoys interacting with guests while working outdoors.
Essential Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Verify guest wristbands and ensure only authorized guests use the pool facilities.
- Answer guest questions regarding pool rules, amenities, and property information.
- Assist guests with locating available seating, towels, and amenities.
- Promptly communicate guest concerns to the Front Desk or Manager on Duty.
Pool Operations
- Monitor both pool areas throughout the day for cleanliness and organization.
- Remove trash and maintain a clean deck, furniture, and common areas.
- Straighten lounge chairs, umbrellas, and tables.
- Restock approved pool amenities as needed.
- Report maintenance concerns immediately through the proper communication channels.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all pool rules in a courteous and professional manner.
- Monitor for unsafe behavior and address concerns promptly.
- Report emergencies, accidents, or incidents to management immediately.
- Complete incident reports when required.
- Maintain awareness of weather conditions and assist with pool closures when directed.
Towel & Wristband Support
- Verify guests are wearing the appropriate wristbands.
- Assist Front Desk with towel inventory when requested.
- Notify Front Desk of unauthorized guests or missing wristbands.
- Support towel exchange procedures during designated hours.
Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Management.
- Participate in opening and closing procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude with a hospitality mindset
- Ability to remain professional during busy periods
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Previous hospitality, recreation, or customer service experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Frequently walk, stand, bend, and lift.
- Work outdoors for extended periods in heat and sun.
- Ability to respond quickly to guest needs and emergencies.
Schedule
- Part-Time, seasonal
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday
