Calling all dog people in nyc!!

 

What is Watchdog

WatchDog is a peer-to-peer dog care exchange app: owners earn points by caring for pet dogs in their area, and can use their points to receive help from neighborhood dog owners in return… think Kindred for dog care. Launching in NYC with plans to rapidly expand across major pet-owning cities in the US and CA. This is a paid contract-based role with extension to an ongoing role based on performance (see below).

 

Who we are looking for: must be highly personable, motivated, thrive in a fast pace startup environment, and love dogs!

 

Compensation: there is a lot of fast growth opportunities in this role. To start, our first city launch (NYC/BK) will compensate at 20$/hr. If work is exemplary, you will then be trained to manage the launch of all major cities across USA and CA as well as our growth channels, with a base salary between low six figures and high five figures.

 

NYC/BK WatchDog launch:

IRL outreach in nyc:

  • Go to every dog park in nyc + BK (with my dog). Talk to each person, sell them on downloading Watchdog + explain what it is. Optimal if they download the app while you’re talking with them (so you can “show them how it works”. You’ll also have a code for first mo free signing up with you). This will be every day for the first week, then every weekend (fri/sat/sun) for the following 4 weekends. TBD from there.
  • Ambassador pitch: if someone's enthusiastic about it, pitch them on doing a social post as one of our ambassadors. Forward influencer docs afterward.
  • Manage all comms and logistics: follow-ups, questions, influencer contracts, and payments to them.

Posters:

  • Spam the city + dog parks Watchdog fliers (refresh weekly for 4 weeks. TBD from there)

Vets / dog stores:

  • Ask vets and physical locations if they'd be open to giving cards/fliers out for a referral fee

FB groups / IG / TikTok / Reddit:

  • Spam fb groups + IG and TikTok comments sections, DM people who comment on dog-related vet accounts. Reply to people on reddit

Creative:

  • Lmk any other ideas and we can add!

 

Bonus scope and compensation (discussed after NYC/BK trial)

  • Manage our socials: running ads, growth content and initiatives, etc. (our founder will train you)
  • Manage other cities: recruit and manage a city lead doing your role in another market (e.g. Austin TX, high volume of young dog owners).
  • Manage all city leads.

 

Trial period

  • 20$/hr, ability for either party to terminate the engagement at any time. Ongoing contract after this period if desired and assuming satisfactory performance.
