Handyman Technician
My Georgetown Handyman is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman (or Handymam) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, prompt, personable, creative, curious, and able to work independently once onboarded. with dependable transportation and will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks. Eventually, this role will require a broad skill set, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. It also requires the usual complement of hand tools. Specialty tools will be provided when necessary. Reliable transportation is important.

The following include responsibilities:
- Able to complete general home repairs and maintenance work in a timely manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various components of buildings, equipment, and fixtures, including plumbing, electrical systems, doors, windows, and appliances as part of a team or solo.
- Install, repair, or replace wooden structures, cabinets, shelves, trim, and other carpentry components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues in sinks, toilets, faucets, and pipes. Install or replace plumbing fixtures that do not require a plumbing license.
- Replace outlets, switches, and light fixtures, ceiling fans, and perform minor electrical repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical systems.
- Prepare surfaces and work areas for painting, wallpaper, trim and accents, and perform minor drywall repairs to maintain or enhance the appearance of interior and exterior spaces.
- Replace light bulbs, repair door locks, lubricating hinges, and addressing other minor repairs.
- Install various fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment according to manufacturer instructions and specifications and client’s request.
- Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns and providing updates on projects to clients and owners.
- Repair masonry and stucco cracks using best practices.
