Fall 2026 / Admission Office Work-Study Student Worker

ROUND ROCK CAMPUS – School of Nursing Student Worker (Work Study)

The St. David's School of Nursing at Texas State University's Round Rock Campus is seeking a dependable and motivated TXST Work Study student to provide clerical and event coordination support in the Admission Office support during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

This position offers valuable experience in higher education, office operations, and professional communication.  A Student Worker will work closely with students, faculty and staff while contributing to the preparation of learning environments that support nursing education.

Schedule: 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling available around class commitments)

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients in a courteous and professional manner (in person, via email, and over a multi-line phone)
  • Perform general office tasks such as filing, shredding, data entry, scanning, and copying documents
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Assist with the mentoring program and student events
  • Support recruitment events such as Bobcat Days and Open House
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable learning new office technology
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA requirements
  • Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Previous customer service, office experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation

  • Up to $15.00 per hour (based on work-study allotment and experience)

Performance Evaluation

  • Student employees will receive performance evaluations at the end of each semester to support professional growth and development.
