Fall 2026 | Immersion Studio Student Worker
The Immersion Studio in Alkek One of the Alkek Library is looking for student employees to help patrons check out equipment, provide patrons with knowledge about emerging technologies and projects we are working on, and help with other duties as needed at the Immersion Studio. They will also maintain the Immersion Studio spaces, keep areas clean, maintain and troubleshoot VR headsets, and manage other equipment. Student employees will be trained in the spaces equipment and best practices that will be required to help patrons troubleshoot issues.
We are looking to hire student employees that will begin their position this upcoming Fall 2026 semester.
Direct Supervisor: Julian De La Rosa
Evaluation Process: Resume's and submitted hiring documents will be reviewed for every applicant that applies. After initial evaluation a limited amount of applicants will be asked to conduct an in-person or online interview with the supervisor of the Immersion Studio. After this round of interviews candidates will be selected and hired for the position.
Payrate Determination: Initial payrate is determined by applicable tech skills that can help the Immersion Studio with projects that are developed behind the scenes. If an applicant is able to assist with programming projects or offer other tech related assistance, they will gain further job responsibilities and be hired on at a higher initial payrate.
