Summer 2026 | Student Administrative Assistant I Work Study

Work hours are between the hours of 8:00am.-5:00pm., Monday-Friday. List of Job
 

Duties: Greet and direct visitors (including announcing in-office appointments;
providing directions to other areas of the university; other administrative office duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Direct Supervisor: Office Manager

Payrate Determination: The pay rate is determined by the institution’s payrate for undergraduate student pay and is evaluated on annually. University Pay Plan : Office of Human Resources : Texas State University (txst.edu)

Employee evaluation process: Evaluations are conducted annually.
