Position Overview
The School of Theatre, Dance, and Film is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable student worker to assist with a variety of summer projects supporting departmental operations, digital resources, and facility organization. This position offers hands-on experience in website management, digital asset organization, archives, and arts administration.
The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects while working independently and collaboratively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with website optimization and content updates for School of Theatre, Dance, and Film webpages.
- Curate Theatre Center production photo galleries and digital media archives.
- Support classroom, storage, and office organization projects within the Theatre Center.
- Assist with costume inventory and cataloging projects in the Jowers Center and Dance Costume Collection.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by faculty and staff.
- Maintain professional communication and provide regular progress updates on assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas State University student eligible for student employment or work-study for the summer semesters.
- Good academic standing with the university.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to work in office, storage, archive, and classroom environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with website content management systems.
- Familiarity with digital asset management, photography, or archives.
- Interest in arts administration, marketing, theatre, dance, or film.
- Experience organizing inventories, collections, or records.
