Art Services and Operations Assistant

Plaza Fine Arts is an Austin-based fine art services company specializing in the transport, installation, and handling of high-value artwork for collectors, galleries, museums, and institutions across Texas and nationally.

We're looking for a dependable, detail-obsessed assistant to join a small, growing operation. This is a hands-on position. You'll be building custom crates, assisting on installation jobs, driving locally, organizing a workshop space, and supporting day-to-day operations. No two days are the same.

This is a ground-floor opportunity. You'll learn a specialized trade, work with significant artwork, and grow with the company.

Part-time, 15-20 hours/week. Pay $22-$25/hour.

You're a good fit if you are meticulous and patient, take direction without ego, follow instructions precisely, work well with your hands, are reliable and on time, have a valid driver's license and clean record, and have a background in art, fabrication, stagecraft, or similar hands-on work.

You're not a good fit if you need constant supervision, have strong opinions about how things should be done before learning how we do them, or are looking for a passive or flexible gig.
