Summer 2026: Medical Receptionist Billing Assistant

RR Receptionist/Billing Assistant Position Description: Responsible for checking patients in, obtaining and updating demographics in the Electronic Medical Record, scheduling walk-in patients, performing insurance eligibility checks, scanning, copying, and assisting visitors/patients with questions related to services, prices, insurance, etc. 

Qualifications: Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written; Must be detail oriented; customer service experience and general knowledge of insurance plans and terminology preferred. 

Work Schedule: Students in this position are expected to work between 15-18 hours per week. Applicants must be able to work at least 6 hours on Mondays & Wednesdays between 8am-5pm.  Additional hours are available on Thursdays between 8am and 5pm.

Round Rock Location – SHC Ste 116 in Nursing building

Direct Supervisor: Amelia Herrera

Employee Evaluation Process: Student employees are evaluated by their supervisor at the end of each long semester. 

Payrate Determination: All student employees may receive an increase up to $1.00/hour after a full year of employment and with a positive evaluation from their supervisor.
