Outreach & Business Development Internship (Rolling Applications)

We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Outreach & Business Development Intern for a structured, learning-focused internship experience. This is an unpaid internship offered exclusively for academic credit. Interns must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and registered for an internship, practicum, or independent study course (credit or zero-credit) for the duration of the internship.

Internship Structure & Time Commitment

  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling aligned with the student’s academic calendar
  • Fully remote with opportunities for occasional local outreach activities (where applicable)
  • Scheduled mentorship check-ins and support
  • Start and end dates determined in coordination with the student and academic program

This internship is designed to complement academic coursework and provide hands-on experience in outreach, communication, and business development within the education sector.

What You’ll Do

Interns will support efforts to grow awareness of Full Marks products and build meaningful connections with schools and educators. Responsibilities may include:

  • Reaching out to schools, educators, school districts, homeschoolers, and education-focused businesses via email, phone, social media, and in-person outreach
  • Sharing information about Full Marks products and mission
  • Offering free resources or promotional materials when appropriate
  • Supporting efforts to build reviews and strengthen online reputation (e.g., Google and website reviews)
  • Following up on warm leads and outreach suggestions provided by the manager
  • Assisting in identifying potential partnership or collaboration opportunities

Interns will receive guidance, templates, and structured support to ensure outreach is professional, respectful, and aligned with organizational goals.

Learning & Skill Development

Depending on the student’s interests and academic background, interns may gain experience in:

Business Development & Sales Communication

  • Learning foundational outreach and relationship-building strategies
  • Understanding how educational products are introduced to schools and educators
  • Practicing professional communication in real-world contexts

Marketing & Brand Awareness

  • Supporting awareness campaigns for educational products
  • Learning how reviews and reputation impact small business growth
  • Observing audience engagement strategies in the education market

Professional Communication

  • Writing and refining outreach emails and messages
  • Developing confidence in phone and direct communication
  • Learning follow-up and organization systems for outreach tracking

Mentorship & Supervision

Interns will receive:

  • Ongoing supervision and mentorship from the founder
  • Templates, scripts, and structured outreach guidance
  • Constructive written and verbal feedback
  • Support in professional communication and strategy development
  • Opportunities to reflect on internship activities in relation to academic goals

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled college or university student
  • Eligible to receive academic credit for the internship
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in education, entrepreneurship, marketing, or business development
  • Comfortable engaging in outreach and professional communication
  • Organized, proactive, and open to feedback
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace preferred
  • Prior experience is not required, but confidence in communication is a plus
