SI&E Associate
Job Description
- Understanding of the department of Student Involvement and Engagement, programs, services, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as a welcoming point of contact for students, staff, and campus visitors.
- Provide information about student organizations, events, and involvement opportunities
- Assist with planning, setup, and execution of SI&E programs, services, events, and workshops
- Support office operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining records.
- Share general information regarding university buildings, departments, office, programs, or services.
- Use Bobcat Organization Hub as one-stop resource for campus activities and student organizations.
- Assist with review of campus access activities (Amplified Sound, Animals on Campus, Electioneering, Exhibits and Temporary Structures, External Speaker Notices, Food and Beverage Safety, Solicitation, Literature, Booth, and Banners).
- Support review of and inquiries related to student travel activity.
- Promote SI&E programs and services through outreach efforts and marketing (flyers, social media, tabling).
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of shared office and event spaces.
- Collaborate with professional staff on special projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Texas State University
- Must have and maintain a 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) - Semester and Overall.
- Work between 10 to 15 hour per week from Monday to Friday and between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependability and professionalism
- Interest in student engagement, leadership, or campus programming
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) is necessary.
- Previous experience with customer service is preferred, but not required.

Evaluation Process
- Students will be evaluated during the interview process.
- A student employee evaluation will be performed after the first 90 days of employment and then each following semester.
Payrate Determination
- Payrate will be determined based on skill, knowledge, and experience demonstrated during interview process.
