Department: The Edwards Aquifer Research and Data Center is a water testing laboratory that provides services for individuals and public water systems to ensure their drinking water is safe to consume and offers other testing for surface water and waste water.

Job Summary: The EARDC assistant is a part-time student work-study position responsible for basic office duties, assist with water sample collection, and other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with water sample collection
  • Data entry
  • Preparation of sample bottles
  • Labeling bottles
  • Photocopying or scanning documents
  • Shredding documents
  • Other duties as assigned

On-Campus Job Location: Freeman Aquatic Biology Building, RM 238 

Supervisor: Victor Castillo III

Work Schedule: Flexible work schedule, dependent on students class schedule. 

Qualifications:

  • Awarded student work study

Employee Evaluation Process: Students are evaluated by their supervisor at the end of each long semester.

Pay rate Determination: Pay rate determined by award amount, experience and student evaluation.
