Role Overview
As an Operations Business Program Analyst Intern, you will work directly with the Site Director and Operations to maintain the "heartbeat" of the facility. You will help synchronize complex defense programs, track shared resources, and support the daily administrative and safety functions that keep the site running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Coordination & Support: Assist in organizing executive site visits, leadership reviews, and high-visibility tours. Act as a junior liaison for cross-functional partners and local dignitaries.
- Program Scheduling: Support the maintenance of the site-wide master schedule. Help track project milestones across rocket builds, testing, and facility usage to identify potential timing conflicts.
- Data & Resource Tracking: Monitor the usage of shared critical equipment and facilities. Compile data on resource allocation to help leadership make informed prioritization decisions.
- Operational Budgeting: Assist in tracking site expenses, including facility improvements and infrastructure investments, ensuring financial records are organized and transparent.
- Onboarding & Culture: Support the "connective tissue" of the site by assisting with new hire orientations, organizing site tours for candidates, and streamlining the onboarding process.
Authority & Scope
- Direct mentorship from the Site Director and Operations’ leadership.
- Responsibility for maintaining accurate real-time data within the master schedule.
- Exposure to senior-level strategic decision-making and large-scale hardware operations.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, or Jira) and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the "soft skills" required to work across different engineering and manufacturing teams.
- A "no task too small" mentality with a high degree of initiative.
- Interest in defense and high-stakes hardware manufacturing.
Success Metrics
- Accuracy and up-to-date status of the site-wide master schedule.
- Successful coordination of site events and executive visits.
- Improved efficiency in the new-hire onboarding experience.
- Proactive identification of resource bottlenecks before they impact production.
