Part-Time Nanny

A warm, intentional, and highly engaged family in Austin is seeking a nurturing, experienced part-time nanny to support their 2.5-year-old daughter and become a consistent, trusted presence in her daily life.

 

This is an ideal opportunity for a professional nanny who values structure, child-led learning, and working collaboratively with involved, work-from-home parents in a calm and enriching environment.


Meet the Family

👧 Child:

2.5-year-old girl – Curious, independent, and joyful. Thrives in a structured, screen-free environment filled with enriching activities. Enjoys reading, music, dancing, sensory play, outdoor exploration, and imaginative play. She is kind, intelligent, and a good listener. Has an egg allergy.
 

👩👨 Parents:

Both parents work from home and are deeply intentional in their parenting approach. They value routine, independence, and creating a nurturing, engaging environment that supports their daughter’s curiosity and development. They are collaborative, respectful, and looking for a nanny who can confidently take the lead while working alongside them.
 

🐶 Family Pet:

The family might adopt a dog in the future. Nanny must be comfortable around pets.
 

🏡 Home Environment:

Warm, calm, and highly intentional. The family prioritizes connection, routine, and quality time together — beginning each day with breakfast and ending with family dinners. Their lifestyle includes outdoor activities, creative play, cooking, and minimal screen time, with a strong focus on enriching, hands-on experiences.
 

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 12:30–5:30 PM (guaranteed 25 hours/week)
 

Start Date

As soon as the family finds the right fit
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the child at all times
  • Maintain a consistent daily routine (play, activities, lunch, nap, etc.)
  • Lead engaging, screen-free, age-appropriate activities (reading, outdoor play, arts & crafts, sensory play)
  • Support independence, curiosity, and developmental growth
  • Prepare nutritious lunches and snacks (allergy-aware)
  • Provide a calm, structured, and nurturing environment
  • Build a meaningful relationship with the child and support emotional development
  • Communicate openly with parents regarding daily updates and routines
     

Transportation & Household Support

  • Pickup from preschool beginning June 1 (~15-minute commute)
  • Maintain safe and reliable transportation (clean driving record required)
  • Tidy and clean up after meals and activities
  • Light housekeeping during nap time
  • Children’s laundry (once per week)
  • Maintain organization of child-related spaces
     

Required Qualifications

  • Prior professional nanny experience (toddler experience preferred)
  • Experience supporting structured routines and early childhood development
  • Knowledge of managing food allergies
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle
  • Comfortable working alongside work-from-home parents
  • Comfortable with pets
  • Reliable, organized, and able to take initiative

Compensation & Benefits

  • $28–$32 per hour (based on experience)
  • No travel required
