Summer Camp Teacher

GirlForward is seeking a Teacher  to join our team during our summer camp (July 7th-August 1st) in Austin, TX. This position is focused on leading our summer camp team (including interns) through a 4-week direct academic program using a literacy-based curriculum that explores themes of identity, community, and power through classroom instruction and field trips. Two weeks are dedicated for planning and closure of summer camp. Building relationships with the community while exploring themes of identity, power, and community are integral to success in this role. The teacher works with and reports to the Senior Program Manager to discuss weekly lesson plans, conduct daily debriefs, and confirm field trips.
