Criminal Defense Investigator - SPANISH-SPEAKER

Work includes locating and interviewing incarcerated individuals being charged with serious crimes, witnesses, alleged victims, locating and gathering records, reports and documents; reviewing and analyzing discovery and other case documentation; serving subpoenas; visiting and recreating crime scenes, conducting extensive background checks on individuals.

The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and government agencies that interact with the office is necessary.

Must be able to utilize computer software for case management, trial presentation, spreadsheets, word processing, databases and graphics.

Strong writing, organizational and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to analyze legal issues from lengthy and complex records and to prepare comprehensive descriptive written reports and testify in court as needed.
