Part-Time Nanny

(Long-Term) Part-Time Nanny Opportunity in Lago Vista, Texas (78645)


A welcoming, active family in Lago Vista (78645) is seeking a dedicated, long-term nanny to begin March 1, 2026. This position centers primarily on newborn care, making it an excellent opportunity for a nurturing, infant-experienced professional who finds joy in supporting early development.

 

The parents work from home several days per week and value a collaborative, respectful dynamic. They are seeking someone who is confident in their abilities, yet comfortable partnering with involved parents when needed.

Meet the Family

👶 Newborn Son – The primary focus of this role. The family is seeking attentive, nurturing care during this important early stage, with consistency in feeding, sleep routines, and developmental engagement.

 

👦 7-Year-Old Son – Active and independent. He enjoys outdoor adventures and imaginative play. Care will be needed periodically depending on the finalized schedule and travel periods.

 

👩👨 Parents – Work-from-home professionals several days per week. They are supportive, collaborative, and value open communication, reliability, and a nanny who truly enjoys their work.

 

🐾 Family Dog – A professionally trained German Shepherd. Well-behaved and part of the family’s daily life.

 

🏡 Home Environment & Lifestyle – This is an outdoors-oriented, low-screen household. The family enjoys hiking, biking, fishing, and encouraging creative, imaginative play. There is no regular television use, and electronics are minimal, with occasional family movie nights. They prioritize hands-on engagement, time outside, and meaningful connection over screen time.

 

Schedule

Start Date: March 1, 2026

 

Guaranteed Core Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

 

Additional Hours Include:

• One week per month (during father’s travel): 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Approximately four local events per month (4 weeks advance notice provided)

• Three out-of-state trips per year (approximately 4–6 additional hours during those trips)

 

Guaranteed minimum hours will be provided.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Childcare Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally supportive care for the newborn
  • Follow established feeding and sleep routines
  • Prepare bottles and handle all diapering and hygiene needs
  • Encourage early developmental activities such as tummy time, reading, and sensory interaction
  • Monitor growth and milestones while maintaining open communication with parents

 

  • Provide care for the 7-year-old as needed during travel periods or schedule adjustments
  • Encourage imaginative play, outdoor activities, and hands-on engagement
  • Support the family’s low-screen values
     

Child-Related Household Duties

  • Wash and sanitize bottles and feeding supplies
  • Handle family dishes as need

No general household cleaning beyond children-related tasks and dishes required

 

Required Qualification

  • Demonstrated newborn or infant care experience
  • Strong understanding of newborn routines and early developmental stages
  • Experience caring for more than one child preferred
  • Ability to follow established household rhythms and parental preferences
  • Comfortable working in a home where parents are present
  • Comfortable around a trained German Shepherd
  • No driving responsibilities required
  • Engaged, attentive, and self-motivated during work hours

Compensation

  • $22–$23 per hour
  • Guaranteed core hours
