Child Development Instructor (Part-Time) – Ideal for Psychology & Kinesiology Majors
My Gym Austin is seeking high-energy, dependable students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in child development while working in a fun, structured, and team-oriented environment.
This role is ideal for students pursuing Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, Social Work, Kinesiology, Education, Pre-OT, Pre-PT, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist structured developmental movement classes for children ages 6 weeks–10 years
- Support physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development
- Facilitate positive reinforcement and classroom engagement strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding child participation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
- Support weekend birthday parties and special events
Skills & Qualifications
Background in sports, dance, theatre, fitness, or child care is a plus but not required.
- Genuine interest in working with children
- High energy and comfort leading groups
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work morning (8:30am–2:00pm) and/or afternoon (3:00pm–7:30pm) shifts
- Weekend availability
