The Student Program Coordinator position is a semester-long appointment with the potential for renewal at the discretion of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL). This position is compensated at $10 per hour with an expected commitment of up to 15 hours per week. Work hours are flexible and scheduled in coordination with the student’s availability and office needs.
The Student Program Coordinator is housed within the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Texas State University and reports directly to the Administrative Assistant for FSL. They will also be working collaboratively with all SI&E professional staff.
In this role, the Student Program Coordinator will support the FSL mission of fostering student development within a learning-centered environment that integrates individual, organizational, and community experiences through values-based decision-making. The Student Program Coordinator will assist with administrative, marketing, and programmatic initiatives while contributing to the implementation of the FSL strategic plan and annual goals.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assist in developing, editing, and maintaining marketing and program materials such as flyers, brochures, and digital content
Assist with research, documentation, and archiving of Fraternity and Sorority Life history at Texas State University
Support the maintenance of chapter rosters and event listings within the Bobcat Organization Hub for the office and all four councils
Assist with campus outreach efforts, including tabling and presentations for New Student Orientation, Bobcat Day, Family Weekend, and other university events
Provide support for administrative projects across FSL programming initiatives
Lead or support planning committees for major office-wide initiatives such as Philanthropy Week and Hazing Prevention Week
Monitor and assist with office communications, including email inquiries, phone calls, and walk-in traffic
At the conclusion of the semester, the Student Program Coordinator will participate in a performance and reflection meeting with their supervisor to review their experience, contributions, and professional development.
