Doctoral Research Assistant- CCAMPIS Program

General Description:

  • Reports to the Director of CCAMPIS Program at Texas State University- San Marcos. Will also be supervised by the CCAMPIS Faculty Co-PI. 
  • Responsible for assisting in the delivery of services and research initiatives provided by the CCAMPIS Program.
  • Frequent Evening and weekend work will be required.
  • This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding.

Duties:

  • Working with the CCAMPIS Director, staff, and PI team. 
  • Assisting with preparing materials and facilitating aggressive participant recruitment campaign in accordance with US Department of Education Guidelines.
  • Evaluating participant applications to determine eligibility.
  • Make recommendations and conduct participant intake interviews.
  • Assist with implementing programming for CCAMPIS participants. 
  • Assess participant progress, personal growth, and academic performance.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to promote personal and professional growth.
  • Assist in research related to CCAMPIS program and the population it serves. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Graduate or Doctoral Student at Texas State University. 
  • Must be able to work possible evening hours and weekends.
  • Must be able to effectively and dynamically present information in small and large group formats.
  • Must have efficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and database entry.
  • Must have ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and an ability to think independently and analytically.
